Spot market electricity prices for Tuesday, April 16

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye’s day-ahead spot market for Tuesday will be 2,700 Turkish liras at 12 a.m. and between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. local time (2100 and 1500-1800 GMT), according to official figures on Monday.

The lowest rate was set at 249.99 liras at 12 p.m. local times (0900 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume for Tuesday’s electricity market shows a decrease of 6.1% to around 1.25 billion liras compared to Monday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 2,700 liras and 2,111.99 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Monday was set at 2,700 liras between 4 p.m. and 11 p.m. local time (1300-2000 GMT), while the lowest rate was determined as 1,445.98 liras at 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. local times (0000 and 0100 GMT).

US$1 equals 32.40 liras at 2.14 p.m. local time (1114 GMT) on Monday.
