Sasha Vezenkov-led Olympiacos thrashed German opponents Bayern Munich 112-69 in a Turkish Airlines EuroLeague game on Friday to remain atop of the table.
Bulgarian forward Vezenkov had a historic night at Piraeus’ Peace and Friendship Stadium as the 29-year-old scored a career-high 45 points for the Greek club.
As a team, Olympiacos made a club-record 36 assists during the win.
Bayern Munich, meanwhile, were led by US center Devin Booker as the 33-year-old had 16 points for the losing side.
Leaders Olympiacos are 14-6 in the EuroLeague regular season.
Archrivals Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens are second with 13 wins in 20 rounds.
Bayern Munich are 10th at 11-9 in the EuroLeague.
In another game, Real Madrid beat Zalgiris Kaunas 83-64 to improve to 11-9 in the standings. Zalgiris dropped to 10-10.
Spain’s Real Madrid secured their fifth consecutive victory.
Dzanan Musa led Real Madrid with 17 points. Facundo Campazzo and Serge Ibaka scored 13 each for the Spanish club.
Lonnie Walker led Zalgiris as he racked up 17 points for the Lithuanian team.
