UK premier to visit Türkiye on Monday

ISTANBUL

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer will pay a visit to the Turkish capital Ankara on Monday at the invitation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Türkiye’s communications director said on Sunday.

The leaders will discuss bilateral ties, which have a strategic level and are based on a close alliance, Burhanettin Duran wrote on the Turkish social media platform NSosyal.

President Erdogan and Premier Starmer will also discuss current regional and global developments, Duran added.
