November 28, 2023 6:00 amTürkiye’s total oil imports increased by 0.31% to 4.36 million tons in September, according to recent data released by the country’s energy watchdog on Tuesday.
Crude oil imports, the category with the highest oil import volume, fell by 0.76% in September to 2.96 million tons, the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) said in its monthly report.
Türkiye imported the majority of its oil and oil product needs from Russia in September, totaling 1.81 million tons. Iraq and Kazakhstan followed with 1.14 tons and 745,236 tons, respectively.
Oil refinery product exports increased by 0.58% to 1.21 million tons, while output also increased by 0.29% to 3.27 million tons.
Furthermore, domestic oil product sales increased by 6.5% year over year in September to 2.81 million tons.
