November 28, 2024 1:53 pmTürkiye’s energy import bill declined by 7.3% to $4.98 billion in October compared to the same month last year, according to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute on Thursday.
The country’s energy import bill totaled $5.38 billion last October.
The data shows that the overall import bill for the month, including energy and other items, totaled $29.40 billion.
At $4.98 billion, energy accounted for 17% of the overall import figures in Türkiye in October.
Crude oil imports saw a 25.9% decrease to 2.18 million tons, compared to 2.94 million tons in October 2023.
