December 3, 2025 1:28 pmDaily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased around 4% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 990,333 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 47,862 megawatt-hours at 6 p.m. local time (1500 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country’s electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 32,785 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 998,345 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking an increase of 4% compared to Monday.
Electricity production from natural gas accounted for around 33.6% of total generation, while imported coal plants and hydropower plants contributed 22.7% and 12.5%, respectively.
On Tuesday, the country’s electricity exports totaled 8,191 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 188 megawatt-hours.
