October 28, 2025 1:33 pmDaily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased around 11.5% on Monday compared to the previous day, totaling 866,573 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Tuesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 42,296 megawatt-hours at 7 p.m. local time (1600 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country’s electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 27,853 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 869,608 megawatt-hours on Monday, increasing around 11.07% compared to Sunday.
Electricity production from wind plants accounted for around 22.6% of total generation, while imported coal plants and natural gas contributed 22.3% and 13.4%, respectively.
On Monday, the country’s electricity exports totaled 8,077 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 5,042 megawatt-hours.
