May 26, 2026 3:20 pmDaily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by around 0.71% on Monday compared to the previous day, totaling 804,009 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Tuesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 37,788 megawatt-hours at 13 p.m. local time (1000 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country’s electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 27,432 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 808,012 megawatt-hours on Monday, marking a rise of about 0.92% compared to the previous day.
Electricity production from dam-based hydro plants accounted for around 36.9% of total generation, while solar and wind plants contributed 16.1% and 12.5%, respectively.
On Monday, the country’s electricity exports totaled 9,177 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 4,804 megawatt-hours.
