Türkiye’s daily power consumption up 0.03% on April 3

Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by around 0.03% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 978,552 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Saturday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 47,290 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country’s electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 32,671 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 985,347 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a down of about 0.26 % compared to the previous day.

Electricity production from dam-based hydro plants accounted for around 31.1% of total generation, while wind and imported coal contributed 18.9% and 10.8%, respectively.

On Friday, the country’s electricity exports totaled 7,533 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 486 megawatt-hours.
