November 24, 2025 10:16 amDaily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased around 10.3% on Sunday compared to the previous day, totaling 802,819 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Monday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 39,245 megawatt-hours at 7 p.m. local time (1600 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country’s electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 29,530 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 812,967 megawatt-hours on Sunday, marking a fall of 10% compared to Saturday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants accounted for around 24.3% of total generation, while wind and natural gas plants contributed 19.4% and 12.9%, respectively.
On Sunday, the country’s electricity exports totaled 10,997 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 826 megawatt-hours.
