Türkiye’s daily power consumption down 1.02% on Thursday, July 27

The daily electricity consumption in Türkiye declined by 1.02% on Thursday compared to the previous day, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 52,661 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.

The country’s electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 36,062 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).

Electricity production reached 1,110,463 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a decrease of 0.87% compared to Wednesday.

Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 28.2% of total generation, while imported coal plants and hydroelectric plants contributed 21.1% and 14.7%, respectively.

On Thursday, the country’s electricity exports amounted to 7,579 megawatt-hours, and its imports totaled 15,910 megawatt-hours.
