April 9, 2024 8:37 amDaily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by 0.17% on Monday compared to the previous day, totaling 744,421 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Tuesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 35,277 megawatt-hours at 9 p.m. local time (1800 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country’s electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 25,523 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 744,889 megawatt-hours on Monday, marking an increase of 0.63% compared to Sunday.
Electricity production from wind plants constituted 25.2% of total generation, while hydroelectricity and run-of-river hydroelectric plants contributed 21.9% and 11.8%, respectively.
On Monday, the country’s electricity exports amounted to 3,953 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 4,414 megawatt-hours.
