November 16, 2024 1:23 pmDaily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by 0.14% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 932,192 megawatt-hours, according to official figures from the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 44,416 megawatt-hours at 6 p.m. local time (1500 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country’s electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,135 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 945,424 megawatt-hours on Friday marking a decrease of 0.19% compared to Thursday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 30.1% of total generation, while imported coal and lignite plants contributed 25.6% and 11.6%, respectively.
On Friday, the country’s electricity exports amounted to 15,683 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 1127 megawatt-hours.
