ANKARA
Türkiye’s central government budget posted a 16.7 billion liras ($483.8 million) deficit in November, according to official data released on Monday.
November’s reading narrowed from a 186.3 billion liras ($5.45 billion) deficit in October, a Treasury and Finance Ministry report showed.
Budget revenues hit 939.5 billion liras ($27.3 billion), while expenditures totaled at 956.1 billion liras ($27.8 billion).
Non-interest expenditures reached 809.8 billion liras ($23.5 billion), with interest payments totaling 146.3 billion liras ($4.3 billion).
The report showed that tax revenues came in at 819.4 billion liras ($23.8 billion).
Cumulative figures
In January-November, the budget balance showed a deficit of 1.3 trillion liras ($39.1 billion). During this period, budget revenues reached 7.8 trillion liras ($238.8 billion), while expenditures amounted to 9 trillion liras ($278 billion).
The US dollar traded at an average of 34.4037 liras in November and 32.6288 liras on average during the January-November period.
