Türkiye’s benchmark stock index notched a fresh record closing high on Tuesday at 9,814.19 points, increasing 0.59% from the previous close.
Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 gained 57.50 points from Monday’s close of 9,756.69.
The stock exchange traded for half a day on Tuesday before going into a break due to the Eid al-Fitr holiday marking the end of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
The price of an ounce of gold was $2,383.25, while Brent crude oil sold for around $90.49 per barrel as of 12.44 local time (0944GMT).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 32.1835, the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 34.9699, and the British pound traded at 40.8006 liras.
