The Turkish benchmark stock index closed Monday at 9,997.91 points, down 1.39% from the previous close.
The BIST 100 index started the week at 10,132.42 points, falling 141.06 points from last week’s close.
The lowest value of the index for the day was 9,986.94, while its daily high was 10,142.95.
Some 17 indices rose in value by the end of the day, while 82 declined.
The total transaction volume reached 69 billion Turkish liras ($2.14 billion), while the overall value of the index was 8.55 trillion liras ($265.6 billion).
The USD/TRY exchange rate was 32.4160 as of 18.25 p.m. local time (1525GMT), the EUR/TRY rate stood at 34.8620, and the GBP/TRY traded at 41.2460.
The price of an ounce of gold was $2,350.65, while a barrel price of Brent oil was around $80.85.
