Turkish foreign minister meets counterparts on sidelines of Non-Aligned Movement meeting

ANKARA

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met several of his counterparts Wednesday on the margins of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Ministerial Meeting in the Azerbaijani capital of Baku, according to the Turkish Foreign Ministry.

Fidan met his Iraqi counterpart Fuad Hussein, Kuwaiti counterpart Sheikh Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Algerian counterpart Ahmed Attaf, Malaysian counterpart Zambry Abdul Kadir, Ukranian counterpart Sergei Aleinik and Uzbek counterpart Bakhtiyor Saidov.

The Turkish foreign minister is currently in Baku for the two-day NAM meeting, which will conclude on Thursday.

Earlier, he participated in and delivered a speech at the Ministerial Meeting of the Coordinating Bureau of the Non-Aligned Movement.

In 2019, Azerbaijan assumed the chairmanship of NAM, a forum comprising 120 countries.
