Turkish communications director calls Israeli attacks on Iranian state TV ‘barbaric’

Turkish Communications Director Fahrettin Altun on Monday called Israeli attacks against the Iranian state TV “barbaric.”

“Israel’s attack on the official news agency IRNA, targeting journalists and civilians, is an outright massacre. Attacking journalists and media personnel is barbaric,” Altun said on X.

Altun condemned “this despicable attack” and expressed condolences to the Iranian journalists who were killed in the attack, stating that the Israeli administration has lost its status as a state due to the crimes it has committed.

“We call on the international community to take action against Israel’s aggression and reckless behavior that is setting the region ablaze,” he said.
