The top Turkish and Pakistani diplomats met on Sunday to discuss the state of bilateral relations, with a focus on the economic, trade, and defense sectors.
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar met on the sidelines of the 15th Organization of Islamic Cooperation Summit in Banjul, Gambia, said a statement from Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry.
“The two leaders reviewed the state of bilateral relations and emphasized the exceptional bilateral relations and the strong bonds of friendship between Pakistan and Türkiye,” the statement added.
Expressing satisfaction with the “positive momentum” in bilateral relations, the two reiterated their resolve to further deepen bilateral cooperation, with a particular focus on the economic, trade, and defense sectors, it said.
