Spot market electricity prices for Wednesday, June 7

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye’s day-ahead spot market for Wednesday will be 2,450 Turkish liras at 9 a.m. (0600 GMT), according to official figures on Tuesday.

The lowest rate was set at 1,249 liras at 7 a.m. (0400 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume on Tuesday’s electricity market showed an increase of 27.4% to around 972.1 million liras compared to Monday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 1,855.90 liras and 1,867.50 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Tuesday was set at 2,450 liras at 8 p.m. (1700 GMT), while the lowest rate was determined as 900 liras at 6 a.m. (0300 GMT), according to official figures.

US$1 equals 21.41 liras at 2.15 p.m. local time (1115 GMT) on Tuesday.
