Spot market electricity prices for Wednesday, Dec. 6

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye’s day-ahead spot market for Wednesday will be 2,700 Turkish liras at 9 a.m., 11 a.m. and between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. local time (0600, 0800 and 1100 – 1300 GMT), according to official figures on Tuesday.

The lowest rate was set at 1,598.02 liras at 4 a.m. local time (0100 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume for Wednesday’s electricity market shows an increase of 2.8% to around 1.46 billion liras compared to Tuesday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 2,358.09 liras and 2,387.54 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Tuesday was set at 2,700 liras between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. local time (1300 – 1500 GMT), while the lowest rate was determined as 1,499.99 liras at 3 a.m. local time (0000 GMT).

US$1 equals 28.94 liras at 2.48 p.m. local time (1148 GMT) on Tuesday.
