Spot market electricity prices for Wednesday, August 9

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye’s day-ahead spot market for Wednesday will be 2,699.21 Turkish liras at 8 p.m. (1700 GMT), according to official figures on Tuesday.

The lowest rate was set at 1,300 liras between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. (0300–0400 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume on Tuesday’s electricity market showed an increase of 0.3% to around 1.22 billion liras compared to Monday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 2,077.91 liras and 2,100.46 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Tuesday was set at 2,665 liras at 8 p.m. (1700 GMT), while the lowest rate was confirmed at 1,658 liras at 11 p.m. (2000 GMT), according to official figures.

US$1 equals 27.02 liras at 2.24 p.m. local time (1124 GMT) on Tuesday.
