Spot market electricity prices for Tuesday, Nov. 28

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye’s day-ahead spot market for Tuesday will be 2,700 Turkish liras at 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. local times (0500 and 0600 GMT), according to official figures on Monday.

The lowest rate was set at 1,349.98 liras at 11 a.m. local time (0800 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume for Tuesday’s electricity market shows a decrease of 3.8% to around 1.27 billion liras compared to Monday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 2,104.47 liras and 2,129.17 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Monday was set at 2,700 liras between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. local time (0500 – 0600 GMT), and between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. local time (1200 – 1500 GMT), while the lowest rate was determined as 1,253.41 liras at 3 a.m. local time (0000 GMT).

US$1 equals 28.91 liras at 2.36 p.m. local time (1136 GMT) on Monday.
