Spot market electricity prices for Sunday, March 23

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye’s day-ahead spot market for Sunday will be 3,000 Turkish liras at 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. local time (1500, 1800 GMT), according to official figures on Saturday.

The lowest rate is set at 10.01 liras at 1 p.m and 2 p.m local time (1000, 1100 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume for Sunday’s electricity market shows a decrease of 31.3% to around 1.08 billion liras compared to Saturday.

The arithmetical and weighted average price of electricity for the day-ahead spot market is calculated as 1,888.37 liras and 1,908.43 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price on the day-ahead spot market for one-megawatt hour on Saturday was set as 3,000 liras at 6 a.m. and between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. local time (0300, 1400-1900 GMT), and the lowest was set as 1,594.98 liras at 12 p.m and 1 p.m local time (0900, 1000 GMT).

US$1 equals 37.96 liras at 2.19 p.m. local time (1119 GMT) on Saturday.
