Spot market electricity prices for Sunday, Dec. 10

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye’s day-ahead spot market for Sunday will be 2,600.00 Turkish liras at 6 p.m local time (1500 GMT), according to official figures on Saturday.

The lowest rate was set at 1,598.02 liras at 2 p.m. local time (1100 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume for Sunday’s electricity market shows a decrease of %1.83 to around 1.20 billion liras compared to Saturday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 2,197.45 liras and 2,200.95 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Saturday was set at 2,649.01 liras at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. local time (0700 – 0800 GMT on Friday), while the lowest rate was determined as 1,249.99 liras at 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. local time (2200 – 2100 GMT on Friday).

US$1 equals 28.98 liras at 2.43 p.m. local time (1143 GMT) on Saturday.
