Iran, Türkiye begin new chapter in cooperation: Iranian foreign minister

ANKARA 

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said Thursday that Türkiye and Iran have marked “the beginning of a new page in bilateral and regional cooperation.”

Amir-Abdollahian wrote on X that Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi’s visit Wednesday to Ankara resulted in the signing of agreements encompassing trade, investment, economy, culture, tourism, border security and counter-terrorism.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan welcomed Raisi in an official ceremony at the presidential palace in Anakaa before the pair had a one-on-one meeting,

The leaders chaired a Türkiye-Iran High Level Cooperation Council meeting and held a signing ceremony.
