Maritime traffic in the Istanbul Strait on Wednesday was suspended in both directions due to fog, said the Turkish Transport and Infrastructure Ministry.
Limited visibility due to fog caused the temporary suspension, the ministry said in a statement.
The strait connects international ship traffic from the Black Sea to the Sea of Marmara and further on to the Mediterranean Sea, and vice versa.
