Fenerbahce Beko claimed an 80 – 78 win Wednesday against Zalgiris Kaunas in Round 15 of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague.
Tyler Dorsey came off the bench to lead the Istanbul side to a home win with 19 points, while Scottie Wilbekin scored 17 at Ulker Sports And Event Hall.
“I did (see the rim) but growing up, they teach you that when you hear the whistle, you have to throw it up to the rim! I just put it up there,” Dorsey said after the game.
“I don’t practice that but I got some luck today, thankfully,” he added.
Johnathan Motley finished with 16 and five boards for Fenerbahce.
Three Zalgiris players finished in double digits. Keenan Evans had 19 points, five rebounds and five assists.
Rolands Smits scored 19 points to go along with nine rebounds, while Laurynas Birutis added 14.
Fenerbahce’s Sertac Sanli was disqualified after committing his fifth personal foul.
Fenerbahce Beko earned their eighth EuroLeague win while Zalgiris Kaunas suffered their 10th defeat.
In another Wednesday game, FC Bayern Munich beat Anadolu Efes 86-71 at Bmw Park for their seventh win of the season.
Anadolu Efes have their eighth win in 15 games.
