Türkiye’s Defense Industry Executive Committee met at the Presidential Complex in Ankara, chaired by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Türkiye’s Communications Directorate said Wednesday.
During the first meeting of 2026, the committee reviewed the Turkish defense industry’s activities in 2025, its export performance, future targets, and ongoing critical projects, according to the statement.
It said evaluations were made regarding “the export success of the defense industry, future goals, and critical projects,” while emphasizing determination to support the domestic and national defense sector.
It added that agenda items about current and planned projects to meet the needs of the Ministries of National Defense and Interior were discussed and resolved.
The statement expressed satisfaction with the achievements of the Turkish defense industry, made possible “with the strong support of our nation and state.”
It underlined the necessity of continuing efforts with even greater resolve in 2026 and stated that the exemplary progress in the defense industry “will be sustained with determination and perseverance through the use of domestic and national technologies.”
The directorate further concluded the statement by announcing the decisions “with respect to the public.”
