Daily oil production in southeastern province of Sirnak’s Gabar region, has reached 78,000 barrels, Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar announced on Friday.
Bayraktar shared daily oil production update in a video on the social media platform X, stating that this production milestone is a significant step in Türkiye’s journey toward energy independence.
‘Yesterday it was dark, today it is bright, yesterday there was sorrow, today there is hope,’ Bayraktar said and added that Gabar is a symbol of a Türkiye free from terrorism, a strong future, and energy independence.’
He also stated that over 3,000 jobs and 78,000 barrels of daily oil production from 95 wells represent a major step in Türkiye’s journey toward energy independence.
