British low-cost carrier easyJet on Tuesday announced that it has suspended flights to Israel until Oct. 27.

“As a result of the continued evolving situation in Israel, easyJet has now taken the decision to suspend its flights to Tel Aviv for the remainder of the summer season,” a spokesperson for the company said in a statement.

On Sunday, the company had announced that it halted the flights to Israel until Tuesday.

Following the Iranian attack on Israel, several airlines announced a temporary suspension of their flights to Iran citing security reasons.

Iran on Saturday launched an airborne attack on Israel in retaliation for an April 1 airstrike on its diplomatic compound in the Syrian capital. It reportedly fired more than 300 drones and missiles, with almost all intercepted by the air defense systems of Israel and its allies – the US, France, and the UK.
