ISTANBUL (AA) – Agent of Barcelona star Ilkay Gundogan denied Thursday that he is in talks with Turkish powerhouse Galatasaray.
“The recent news circulating in the press about Ilkay does not align with the truth. Contrary to reports, there was no meeting between me and any Galatasaray manager before the Bayern Munich match. No developments, discussions, or pertinent information on this matter have reached us,” Ilhan Gundogan, the agent of Ilkay, told Anadolu.
Neither Ilkay nor he understands how these inaccurate reports surfaced, he stressed, adding that Ilkay is content and fulfilled in Barcelona, focusing on the goals he hopes to achieve at the club.
Gundogan joined Barcelona from Manchester City in June on a contract that runs until June 30, 2025.
He collected the 2023 UEFA Champions League trophy, five English Premier League titles, and two FA Cup trophies during his time with the Sky Blues.
