January 23, 2024 5:38 amTwo liquefied natural gas (LNG) ships departing from Algeria and the US have reached Türkiye over the last two days, according to the latest shipping data.
The LNG vessel ‘Berge Arzew,’ which left Algeria’s Arzew Port on Jan. 17, docked near the Floating LNG Storage and Gasification Unit (FSRU) in Dortyol, Hatay, at 12.14 p.m. local time (0914 GMT) on Jan. 22.
The Bahamas-flagged ship was built in 2004 and has a total capacity of 138,089 cubic meters.
The LNG ship ‘SK Resolute,’ which departed from Lake Charles Port in the US, docked at the Aliaga LNG Terminal in Izmir at 9.17 a.m. local time (0617 GMT) on Tuesday.
The Panama-flagged ship with a total capacity of 180,000 cubic meters was built in 2018.
