Turkish Central Bank’s international reserves tick up to $147.9B in July

ANKARA

The Turkish Central Bank’s official reserves rose to $147.9 billion as of the end of July, according to official data released Thursday.

The reserve assets of the bank increased 3.5% from the prior month, the bank’s data showed.

Foreign currency reserves — in convertible foreign currencies — grew 7.5% month-on-month to $83.2 billion in July.

The bank’s gold reserves — including gold deposits and, if appropriate, gold-swapped — fell 1.6% to $57.2 billion at the end of last month.
