Spot market electricity prices for Thursday, August 31

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye’s day-ahead spot market for Thursday will be 2,700 Turkish liras between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. local time (1100-1800 GMT), according to official figures on Wednesday.

The lowest rate was set at 1,830 liras at 12 a.m. local time (0900 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume on Thursday’s electricity market shows an increase of 16.9% to around 1.4 billion liras compared to Wednesday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 2,394.54 liras and 2,421.40 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Wednesday was set at 2,700 Turkish liras between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. local time (1500-1800 GMT) while the lowest rate was confirmed at 1,299.99 liras at 12 a.m. local time (0900 GMT), according to official figures.

US$1 equals 26.74 liras at 2.12 p.m. local time (1112 GMT) on Wednesday.
