ISTANBUL
Turkish security forces “neutralized” 721 members of the PKK terrorist organization in over 19,000 operations through the first 10 months of this year, the country’s interior minister said on Wednesday.
A total of 19,756 were conducted in Jan. 1-Nov. 1, resulting in the death of 84 terrorists, Ali Yerlikaya told parliament’s Planning and Budget Commission in the capital Ankara.
In its more than 35-year terror campaign against Türkiye, the PKK — listed as a terrorist organization by Türkiye, the US, and EU — has been responsible for the deaths of more than 40,000 people, including women, children, and infants.
