The 2022 FIFA World Cup winner, Angel Di Maria from Argentina, left Juventus on Thursday after a one-year stint at the Italian club.

“Following one season in black and white, Angel Di Maria and Juventus have parted ways …Thank you for everything, and all the best for the future, Fideo!” Juventus said in a statement.

Di Maria, 35, joined Juventus in 2022 after a seven-year spell at Paris Saint-Germain, where he earned five local titles.

In the 2022-23 campaign, the Argentine winger featured in 40 matches and scored eight goals for Juventus.

Di Maria also played in his national team when Argentina won the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. He scored in the final against France.

He played for Portugal’s Benfica, Spain’s Real Madrid, and England’s Manchester United before joining PSG.

Di Maria won the 2014 UEFA Champions League with Real Madrid.
