West Ham United sacked head coach Julen Lopetegui on Wednesday for a poor showing after 192 days.
“The first half of the 2024/25 season has not aligned with the Club’s ambitions and the Club has therefore taken action in line with its objectives,” West Ham said in a statement.
“The process of appointing a replacement is underway. The Club will be making no further comment at this time.”
The Premier League club said assistant head coach Pablo Sanz, head of performance Oscar Caro, head analyst Juan Vicente Peinado, fitness coach Borja De Alba and technical coach Edu Rubio have all departed with immediate effect.
Lopetegui, a 58-year-old Spaniard, was hired in May following David Moyes’ departure but officially assumed the role July 1.
West Ham managed to win just seven in 22 matches under Lopetegui.
A 4-1 defeat to Manchester City on Saturday marked the club’s ninth loss, leaving the Hammers in the 14th spot, seven points clear of the relegation zone.
Lopetegui, meanwhile, became the fifth Premier League manager to leave his role this season, after Erik ten Hag, Steve Cooper, Gary O’Neil and Russell Martin.
