West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice joined Arsenal, the Gunners announced on Saturday.
The 24-year-old, who signed a deal valid until 2028, will wear the number 41 jersey, a statement by the English Premier League added.
“We’re really happy that Declan is joining us. He is a player with tremendous ability, who has been performing at a high level in the Premier League and for England for a number of seasons now,” Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta said. “Declan is bringing undoubted quality to the club and he is an exceptional talent who has the potential to be very successful here.”
The transfer, which is currently subject to the completion of regulatory processes, is rumored to be a record deal for £100 million ($130.9 million) plus £5m ($6.5m) in add-ons.
Rice will become the most expensive English player in the history of the game if this price becomes official.
Declan Rice netted 15 times and made 13 assists in 245 appearances for West Ham.
He bagged the 2023 UEFA Europa Conference League with them.
