Vestel Mobilite on Friday announced a strategic investment in UK-based electric vehicle charging network operator EVC and energy management software firm Electric Miles.
The Turkish company made the announcement during the London Electric Vehicle Show 2024, where it participated as a Gold Sponsor.
Vestel aims to strengthen its presence in the UK and European mobility ecosystem through the partnership, the company said in a statement.
Electric Miles, recognized as one of the UK’s leading companies in EV charging infrastructure and energy management, was listed among the Top 40 EV Innovators for 2024 and nominated for two prestigious awards at the London EV Show.
At the event, Vestel also showcased its new-generation charging devices, including a 40-kilowatt DC wallbox and a DC charger with a 720-kilowatt capacity, designed for residential, commercial, and industrial use.
“The devices we manufacture comply with UK standards,” said Vestel Mobilite General Manager Hakan Kutlu, highlighting the company’s expansion efforts.
“This strategic collaboration aims to create a strong synergy between Vestel Mobilite and Electric Miles, providing end users with more comprehensive services. It will also bolster our presence in the UK and European markets.”
Kutlu said Vestel, a leading electric vehicle charger manufacturer and exporter in Turkiye, currently exports to nearly 30 countries, including Germany, Italy, the UK, and Spain.
The company has installed over 250,000 charging sockets across Turkiye and Europe, he added.
“The London EV Show provided us with a significant opportunity to display our wide range of products tailored for the UK market,” Kutlu said.
Arun Anand, CEO of Electric Miles, said the partnership would foster innovative solutions in the energy sector, benefiting both consumers and the environment. He added that by combining Vestel’s hardware expertise with Electric Miles’ software capabilities, they aim to generate significant synergy within the industry,
