Verstappen wins F1 Canadian Grand Prix

ISTANBUL

Red Bull’s Max Verstappen won his third straight Canadian Formula One Grand Prix on Sunday.

The Dutch driver finished the race in one hour, 45 minutes and 47.927 seconds at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, a 4.361-kilometer (2.7-mile) motor racing circuit on Notre Dame Island in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, completing over 70 laps.

The 26-year-old Verstappen clinched his 60th career win ahead of McLaren’s Lando Norris and Mercedes’ George Russell.

He has won six of eight races this season, with Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz triumphant in Melbourne, Norris in Miami, and Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc in the Monaco Grand Prix.

Round 10 will be held in Spain’s Circuit De Barcelona-Catalunya on June 23.
