Valencia will host Real Madrid in a postponed Spanish LaLiga matchday 12 clash at Valencia’s Mestalla on Friday.

The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) had postponed Valencia vs. Real Madrid clash originally scheduled for Nov. 2, 2024 due to deadly flash floods, which killed 223 people.

Valencia’s new head coach, Spaniard Carlos Corberen, could face a serious test against the defending champions as his team, 19th in the standings with 12 points, have so far failed to win in five league games.

Full-back Thierry Correia, who has been suffering from cruciate ligament tear, and winger Fran Perez, who has a muscle injury, will be unable to play for the hosts.

Real Madrid have more serious injury concerns than the opposition team as defender Eder Militao and veteran full-back Dani Carvajal will not be playing against Valencia, as they have been suffering from cruciate ligament tears.

Defender David Alaba seems doubtful to play for the Whites as well due to a knee injury.

Despite the missing players, Real Madrid managed to trail leaders Atletico Madrid, which have 41 points, by one point. The team led by head coach Carlo Ancelotti’s has only lost two league games this season.
