US wholesale inventories in July revised down to 0.2%

ISTANBUL

Wholesale inventories in the US rose 0.2% in July, compared to the previous month, according to Commerce Department figures released Monday.

The figure, which measures the change in the total value of goods held in inventory by wholesalers, was estimated at $903.5 billion, according to the final figures.

It is a downward revision from last month’s advance estimate of a 0.3% increase, or $904.9 billion.

The figure for June was also revised down from $903.3 billion to $901.5 billion, or from an increase of 0.2% to no change, the agency said in a statement.

Annually, wholesale inventories in July were up 2.9%, compared to the same month in 2023.
