The US trade deficit increased more than 5% in October, according to data released Tuesday by the Commerce Department’s Census Bureau.
The goods and services deficit rose 5.4% to $78.2 billion, up $4 billion from $74.1 billion in September, the agency said in a statement.
The figure was expected to come in at $80 billion.
