TORONTO

US President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden will host Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, who will pay an official visit to the US on Oct. 25, the White House said Wednesday.

The visit will include a state dinner at the White House and “will underscore the deep and enduring alliance between the United States and Australia and the two nations’ shared commitment to supporting an open, stable and prosperous Indo-Pacific,” the statement said.

Biden and Albanese will discuss strengthening collaboration on significant issues for both nations “to ensure the Alliance is well equipped to respond to ever-evolving regional and global challenges.”
