Uber, which offers alternative taxi service with its phone application, has the right to obtain a new license in London.

The license was not first renewed in 2017 on the grounds that it put passengers at risk.

According to the news of CNBC; Announcing his verdict at the Westminster Magistrate’s Court on Monday, Judge Tan Ikram, hearing the company’s case, said Uber had “enough confidence” and no longer posed a risk to public safety. Uber’s new London license will last 18 months. It was stated that there will be various conditions that are jointly accepted by Uber and TfL. “This decision is a recognition of Uber’s commitment to security. We will continue to work constructively with TfL,” said Jamie Heywood, Regional General Manager for North and East Europe.

Uber’s biggest market in Europe is known to be in London. Since its launch in 2012, the company has gathered around 3.5 million users and 45,000 drivers in London.
