At least two people were killed and over 60 others injured on Thursday after a typhoon hit Japan.
Typhoon Khanun hit the southwestern regions of Japan and the casualties were reported in Okinawa province, public broadcaster NHK reported.
Strong winds and rains generated over the East China Sea have disrupted normal life in coastal regions since Wednesday, with Japanese authorities warning people to be on high alert against risk of flooding.
Several areas have also witnessed blackouts due to the winds.
