Türkiye’s retail sales volume rose 12.8% year-on-year in November 2023, the country’s statistical authority TurkStat said on Friday.
In November, food, drinks, and tobacco sales jumped 11.7%, while non-food (except automotive fuel) sales also posted an increase of 17.0%, whereas automotive fuel sales fell 0.8%, according to TurkStat.
Retail turnover with current prices went up yearly and monthly in the same month, by 87.5% and 3.6%, respectively.
As for retail sales volume with constant prices in November, the figure saw a slight increase of 0.2% month-on-month in November.
“In the same month food, drinks and tobacco sales decreased by 1.5%, non-food (except automotive fuel) sales increased by 0.7%, and automotive fuel sales increased by 1.2%,” it added.
