Türkiye’s total oil imports increased by 0.58% to 3.22 million tons in February, according to recent data released by the country’s energy watchdog.
Crude oil imports, the category with the highest oil import volume, fell by 13.99% in February to 2.01 million tons, the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) said in its monthly report.
Türkiye imported the majority of its oil and oil product needs from Russia in February, totaling 1.61 million tons. Iraq and Kazakhstan followed with 610,216 tons and 362,341 tons, respectively.
Oil refinery product exports decreased by 3.9% to 814,769 tons, while output decreased by 16.82% to 2.25 million tons.
Total domestic oil product sales increased by 1.09% year over year in February to 2.34 million tons.
