Türkiye’s total imports of crude oil and petroleum products fell 12.9% year-on-year to 4.02 million tons in June, while domestic petroleum product sales rose 9.1%, according to data from the country’s energy regulator.
Crude oil imports, the largest component of total oil imports, fell 9.1% year-on-year to 2.66 million tons, according to the Energy Market Regulatory Authority’s (EPDK) June 2026 Oil Market Sector Report.
Diesel imports declined 24.3% to 913,254 tons, while the remainder consisted of aviation and marine fuels and other petroleum products.
– Russia remains top supplier
Russia was Türkiye’s largest supplier of crude oil and petroleum products in June, accounting for 37.8% of total imports.
Imports from Russia totaled 1.52 million tons, followed by the US with 570,677 tons, or 14.2%, and Kazakhstan with 464,022 tons, or 11.6%.
– Domestic fuel sales rise as exports decline
Despite the decline in imports, domestic petroleum product sales increased 9.14% year-on-year to 3.29 million tons in June.
Diesel sales rose 9.69% to 2.57 million tons, while gasoline sales increased 9.33% to 574,792 tons.
Türkiye’s total petroleum product exports fell 17.2% year-on-year to 1.21 million tons in June.
Aviation fuel exports increased 3.15% to 594,748 tons, while diesel exports declined 18.76% to 236,336 tons.
Refinery output of petroleum products declined 1.52% year-on-year to 3.41 million tons.
Diesel production increased 4.89% to 1.47 million tons, while gasoline production rose 20.04% to 521,961 tons.
